After eating at Humdingers, we made the hour or so drive to the Oregon coast. It reminded me a lot of the California coast, cept a lot nicer. Way nicer. We drove into Cannon Beach, a small beach town and it reminded me a lot of Hawaii. Like when you drive up to North Shore and there's only one main road with little souvenir and food places. At first it was cloudy, which was expected, but later on the clouds parted and the sun shined through all the way until we left. This made it not unbearably cold and more fun. I can never help but to compare beaches anywhere to Hawaii. At first it seemed odd to me, watching people walking on rocks near the water with big jackets and boots on. I was like, "How are you supposed to play in the tidepools?" That quickly went away as a rogue wave splashed up farther than the rest and drenched my not protected by a waterproof shoe foot. I think I got a little frostbite. When the sun came out, it reflected on the wet sands and I managed to take some dentist office worthy pictures. I think they're masterpieces, hence I think they should be in the waiting area of some dentist/chiropractor/optometrist office. They're golden.

Ridiculous.
ReplyDeleteIt's like there's more sand than ocean.
these pictures are really nice - wow! The first one with Kevin jumping is pretty funny.
ReplyDeleteI like your new banner too!
micah: dude ya. mainland beaches are weird. at high tide, almost all the sand is gone and the waves go all the way to the houses.
