I wake up at 8am. In bed, I try to remember when the last time that I showered was. I don't remember and nothing stinks/itches that badly so I decide to go another day unbathed. By now, it's like 9, so I rummage through the cupboards and fridge, looking for something to make to eat before the 38 gets to Geary and Sixth. Good thing I'm so smart and I took a loaf of bread out of the freezer the day before so that it would be thawed at just the right time. I leave the house at around 9:45, walking and eating my delicious triple decker pb&j. Yeah. I use three pieces of bread. And f.y.i. chunky > smooth. I miss the bus that I planned to catch but instead take the one that came just a minute later. I'm probably not even on the bus for 10 minutes when I get off at Fillmore and Geary. Thursday, along with Wednesdays, are my internship days. So I basically spend most of my Thursday in the 心 of Japan Town. Yesterday was actually pretty fun. Not only did my supervisor take me and another intern out to lunch but they made me record all the things that they are going to be putting in a new exhibit. I intern at the National Japanese Historical Society so all the things were mostly related to the war and internment. I know I wasn't supposed to do this but come on, I was by myself and I had gloves on. But yeah, i started playing with some of the things. There was a fricking Japanese Army rifle. How am I NOT going to pretend shoot things and attach the bayonet and pretend stab people. What would by 10 year old self say if I didn't?! There was also the handset of a WWII radio, like the kind that someone would have to carry on his back. Like the guy that if you ever played with toy soldiers, sucked because while the other toy soldiers had guns or flamethrowers, this guy just had a lame radio. But yeah. I opened it up and shit. There were also random machetes and swords. I played with everything until 5 which is when I left to go to work at Levis. Work was whatevers. Got out at 10:30 which is when me, Kevin and Hank usually go to play music at the practice space. But Kevin couldn't so I just went home. Rode the 38 back to my hood with Katelyn. Got home at around 11. If we had gone to the space, I probably wouldn't have gotten home at almost 1am. And then I would've had to go to work at 9:45 the next morning, which is when I worked today. I like Thursdays.

In case you can't read English, the street name are also written in Katakana. ちょべんり。
This place is new in J-Town, New People. It really feels like a Tokyo store. Also has a small one screen theater that plays new popular movies from Japan. I want to work here so bad!
The archives of NJAHS. YOU SEE THE GUN ON THE GROUND?!
Unopened WWII first aid kit. There were also WWII food cans labeled "Slices of Ham w/ Fruit Juices." I think it was edible as I shook at and it still sounded juicy.
Outside a Japanese market as I was walking to the bus stop to go to work.
