F You California Wine Tours

It's Sunday! Time to go to the computer lab to do homework BLOG.

I had work Friday and Sunday so all the action this weekend took place on Saturday. To make a short story shorter, I got stranded in the salt marshes for 6 hours. Let me embellish.

Saturday was my field trip for California Ecology. From 9am - 5pm, we were going to visit six points of great interest up the coast in Point Reyes. Woke up at 7, went to Safeway to buy food, and got to school right on time at 8:30. Me and Kevin went on the bus at the scheduled time of 9 only to be told a couple minutes later to get off because they sent us a bus with out a wheel chair lift. My teacher is disabled and uses an electric wheel chair so right when the bus driver saw him, he must've been thinking wtf right?! The only that I can think that was going on in his head while he was introducing himself to Tim was, "Oh shit, I fucked up." So instead of leaving school at 9, we left at 10:30. Tim reassured us that we would not have to cut any of the stops but instead would spend less time at each stop. First stop was okay. There were fears of getting bit by ticks which might cause lime disease and there was poisonous oak everywhere. This gave us an excuse to use rubber gloves which in turn gave us the ability to pick up animal shit and throw it at each other. The second stop was fine, better than the first one to say the least. It was salt marsh and yeah. It was a salt marsh. Full of pickaweeds and nothing else. At this point, I was excited to for the other stops. The next one was sand dunes. Everyone got into the bus and was waiting for the bus driver to drive us to the cool ass sand dunes but he seemed to be having trouble with the wheel chair access door. For about 30 minutes he and the TA did everything they could to get the door to close properly. Apparently, the bus had a safety feature that prevented the whole bus from moving an inch if the door was not properly closed. They could not get the door to close properly and it stayed that way for the next 6 hours. Which means that the entire bus was incapable of moving for the next 6 hours. Which means that the bus did not move from the shitty salt marshes onto the exciting sand dunes or anywhere else. A mechanic came and left, unable to fix the door. When we were eventually rescued they locked the bus up and left it there. It is also vital to know that nobody had any cellphone connection. NONE AT ALL. At the salt marshes, on a tour bus, with no cellphone connection, for 6 hours. The driver felt bad (he better have that fucking bastard) and tried to entertain us by playing some of the movies that he had with him; 3000 miles to Graceland and Ace Ventura: Pet Detective. Adequate try, but not enough. Not nearly enough to distract me from the situation at hand. To distract me from the fact that I will never get to see the sand dunes or go to the oyster farms. Oh yeah, we were supposed to visit an oyster farm. And yeah, idk what else to say. We got back to school at around 9pm. The Hawaii Club's annual Luau was going on so I ate my sorrows away with rice and ahi poke. Then, for community service hours, I helped them clean up and stuff. I got back home at around 12:30am. It was such a Saturday man.
what I thought would be enough to last me till the end of the field trip
what I thought would be taking me to 6 stops on my field trip
where I thought I would not be seeing the sun set
sun setting
mechanic(hoodie): I can't fix this. I'm going to leave now.
driver(suit): Fuck me.

I uploaded more pictures onto facebook.
Listening to Bombay Bicycle Club, "Always Like This" That song alone has boosted Bombay Bicycle Club to the most played artist on my last.fm account. It's good so listen to it.

I turn 21 on Wednesday, the 29th.
