So right now, I'm in my friends room at the Ritsu Meikan International House in Kyoto. I'm in Japan and will be for 30 more days. How was my flight? It was pretty sweet. The food was better on Asiana, a Korean airlines, though. But man the flight attendants were . . .SMOOOOOOOOOOOKING HOT! It was crazy. It was the first time that I flew on a double decker plane. Obviously, there were only a handful of foreigners on the huge ass plane. I was the only one on the top deck who wasn't Japanese. But what the hell do you expect ya know? The ride from the airport to here was suuper long. But it was cool because there was this old 72 year old man who was talking with me for most of the way. First he asked me to explain certain expression in an english Time magazine article about Michael Jackson. Then we started talking about cool things like why American cartoons have tattoos and religion. It was pretty nuts. He complimented me on my bluntness and honesty which was pretty cool. We had a good convo. I even remembered his name, Shizuoka Koozo. I guess the good convo was something to compensate for the fact that there was a mix up at the airport and I could not get my cool Japanese cell phone. Apparently today was a holiday, which meant that the post office closed at 5. I had no clue of this holiday, Day of the Sea, and assumed that it would close at 7. My flight got in a 5 and by the time I was done with customs, it was 6. So wah wah, I gotta figure out what to do because I can't go back to the airport but I don't know if they would mail the package to here or another post office for free. Know what I mean? But whatevs. I'll figure it out, no problem.
I didn't take any pictures yet, but I'll be exploring Kyoto all day tomorrow so yeah. Be ready.
And I should've brushed up on my Japanese before I left.
awesome jacob, glad you made it and can't wait to see photos! we miss you at the dank.
